This week in Kindergarten
We had a very full short week in Kindergarten! We’ve been working towards creating our Monster’s and reading stories, and well as writing and drawing to record our ideas. We are getting very excited to share our Monsters with you during our Celebration of Learning week.
Students were so proud to view their contribution to the Tuscany School Remembrance Day virtual ceremony. Student particularly enjoyed watching the interview with Private Nicholas Roussy, Mme Roussy’s brother.
MRU Teacher Candidates
Our MRU Teacher Candidates, Ms. Rau, Mme Tasnim, and Mme Roy, have taught several wonderful lessons this week. We discovered the Omnikin ball during PE, created around the idea: My Monster Eats... or Mon Monstre Mange…, and they were leading transitions between lessons. Over the last 3 weeks of their practicum, we will see them taking over more and more classroom instruction responsibilities as they become more comfortable.
Celebration of Learning
Starting Friday, November 19th, parents and students will have access to our Virtual Celebration of Learning! This is an opportunity for parents to engage with their children as learners, and to participate in learning activities that students have worked on in class.
We will be sending more information home this next week, but please ensure you are able to login and access Google Classroom. Please contact me if you need further support with this. All materials will also be accessible through Google Classroom, so please ensure you are able to login before this date.

- Their email address can be found in PowerSchool (in the Report Card & Student Information section)

Scholastic Book Orders
Another Scholastic order is underway! We have sent home the November/December flyers, but have linked in Google Classroom the digital flyers with French & English, as well as “how-to” guides for parents on how Scholastic Reading Club is used. Orders are placed online only, and if you use our classroom code, you can receive free shipping on orders of over $40. We recommend placing orders by November 20th.

- November 16 is Photo Retake Day. If your child was absent or you are planning to have retakes, please send me an email to ensure your child has them done!
